Lake Record Hybrid Striped Bass

atxbassguide

This hybrid striped bass is the official new lake record of lake Georgetown. This was caught on a 4 hour afternoon trip on live shad. Mega live displayed a huge school of big fish headed for the boat Zoe's bait was in perfect position and she got bit instantly. After a long fight and almost getting spooled the fish came to net a hybrid bigger than anyone could imagine. We tried to keep it alive in the live well but due to the fish's size it didn't survive before we could take it to an official weigh station. We continued fishing and stayed on a wide open bite on white bass, largemouth, and a few more hybrids in the mix bringing our tally to over 100 fish for the trip. This fish was caught in late December. The fall and winter can really get these lake Georgetown fish fired up.
